OVERVIEW.
I was tasked to redesign a logo from a local hair salon in Chatham ON. The name is Iron Willow, who are located along the Thames River just outside of Chatham. Their original logo was mainly typography, with no illustrations and had no logo structure. I incorporated a willow tree in the new logo, to help represent the flow of hair, movement and a symbol of the willows around the area of the salon. The establishment welcomes all genders, therefore we decided to not have any faces, hair or human elements to the logo, and instead focused on nature and simplicity.
